Change of Command ceremony at MNCG – Motta di Livenza (TV) – Italy

The Change of Command Ceremony between Col Mauro D’UBALDI (outgoing Cmdr) and Col Antonello VESPAZIANI (incoming Cmdr) took place in front of civil and military authorities at Mario Fiore Barracks, home of Multinational CIMC Group, on Thursday, 10th of September, 2009. Multinational CIMIC Group, assigned to NATO in close cooperation with Joint Force Command HQ – Naples, is the only unit officially recognized by the Alliance as capable of deploying men and materials, and operating in the complex CIMIC arena (CIMIC stands for Civilian and Military Cooperation). As a fact, Multinational CIMIC Group personnel were and still are deployed in operational theatres as Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo and Lebanon. Col. D’Ubaldi leaves Multinational CIMIC Group to be assigned to a high ranking position in Army Staff, Rome. Col. Vespaziani takes command, coming from Army Staff, Rome, as well.
